Poem: Don't Worship a Reflection
Don't Worship a Reflection
This really is untitled as yet. You can see it at Mosaic Musings as well.
In all, I see her reflection
(even in her own face she is reflected),
and
in dreams
(waking,
and
otherwise).
(Seek and find)
I suppose if I wanted, I could see her smile
in the Mona Lisa
(who plays the violin).
Piano fingers eke
art
from eighty-eight wire drums,
when four would do
(and smile
more separate smiles);
so don’t worship
a reflection.
